Common Questions

What are Milltek BMW exhausts made from?

Every Milltek system for BMW is engineered from T304L stainless steel, chosen for its corrosion resistance and consistent tone. It is the same grade we use across the entire catalog, built for the emotion.

Should I choose a resonated or non-resonated system?

Resonated systems add a center resonator for a refined, deeper tone that stays civil on long drives. Non-resonated systems are louder with more presence, a popular choice for M3 and M4 owners who want the S55 and S58 heard properly. Our System Education guide walks through the differences in detail.

How do I know a system fits my exact BMW?

Each model page lists systems built for that exact chassis, engine and model years, and every product page carries specific fitment notes. If your BMW matches the chassis and engine listed, the system is engineered for it.

What is the difference between a cat-back and an axle-back system?

A cat-back replaces everything from the catalytic converter rearward for the biggest change in flow and sound. An axle-back replaces only the rear section, a simpler install with a milder change in tone.
