Six Cylinders. One Voice. The Milltek Dodge Charger Sixpack.

Some cars are bought with the eyes. A Charger has always been bought with the ears. The cold start that turns heads across a parking lot, the note that hardens as the revs climb, the way it settles back into a low burble at a light. That sound is the voice of the machine, and for a muscle car it is most of the point. At Milltek, finding that voice is the whole reason we exist.

The new Dodge Charger Sixpack arrived without a Hemi. In its place sits the 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline six, an engine with more than enough performance to carry the Charger name. What the factory exhaust does not give it is the presence owners expect from a Charger. We wanted to change that.

Why we built an exhaust for the Dodge Charger Sixpack.

A Charger owner does not want the car to sound like a sedan. A twin-turbo six, though, arrives at the tailpipe with its pulses already softened by two turbochargers, and the factory system is tuned to keep things polite. The performance is there. The character is buried.

The brief was to dig it out. Give the Hurricane a deeper, harder edge that belongs on a Charger, keep it livable on the commute, and fit it without replacing more of the car than it needs. That meant an axle-back that works with the factory mid-pipe, and a separate system for each trim so every Sixpack gets a voice built for it.

How the Milltek Charger Sixpack axle-back is built.

Both systems are built from 3.00 inch (76.2mm) mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel. Mandrel bending holds the diameter constant through every bend, so the gas flows cleanly from the factory mid-pipe all the way to the tips. The system replaces the rear of the factory exhaust and retains the OE mid-pipe, and fitting takes 2 to 3 hours including removal of the factory parts.

The Charger Sixpack comes in two outputs, and they are plumbed differently from the factory, so we built two different systems.

R/T, standard output. The R/T leaves the factory without exhaust valves, so its Milltek axle-back is a non-valved system: dedicated pipework and a fixed, full-time voice that is there every time you turn the key.

H/O, high output. The H/O leaves the factory with exhaust valves, so its Milltek axle-back is a valved system that retains the OE valve motors. No aftermarket controller, no extra wiring, nothing to program. The valves work the way Dodge designed them to, now in front of a Milltek system.

What the Milltek Charger Sixpack exhaust sounds like.

Where the factory system smooths the Hurricane into a hum, the Milltek system lets its inline six character through: a smooth, even-firing note that deepens at low revs and sharpens into a proper howl as the turbos come in. On the H/O, the retained valves keep that range intact, calmer when they close and fully open when you ask for everything. Lift off, and it drops back to a low, steady rumble.

That is the balance we chase on every car we build for. Not noise for its own sake, but a sound that makes you find a reason to take the long way home.

Finished in Polished or Cerakote Black.

Both systems finish in a pair of 5.5 inch tips, offered in Polished or Cerakote Black. Polished catches the light and sets off bright paint. Cerakote Black disappears into a dark rear diffuser until the car is moving. The finish changes the look only. Pipework and sound are identical.

Designed and manufactured in Tennessee. Proven on the Dragon.

The Milltek Charger Sixpack systems are part of the Milltek lines designed and manufactured in Tennessee by Milltek Corp. Every one is road tested on the Tail of the Dragon, the 318-curve stretch of US 129 at Deals Gap.

We test there because the Dragon never lets an exhaust rest. Constant throttle changes, overrun and heat cycles expose drone and resonance that a straight highway run never will. If it sounds right through 318 curves, it sounds right on the drive home.

Questions Charger owners ask.

Which Milltek exhaust fits my Dodge Charger Sixpack, R/T or H/O?

It depends on your trim. The R/T takes the non-valved Milltek axle-back, SSXDOD111 or SSXDOD112. The H/O takes the valved Milltek axle-back, SSXDOD113 or SSXDOD114. The two systems are not interchangeable, because the R/T has no factory exhaust valves and the H/O does.

Do I need a valve controller for the Milltek Charger Sixpack H/O exhaust?

No. The Milltek valved axle-back for the Charger Sixpack H/O retains the OE valve motors. There is no aftermarket controller and no extra wiring. The valves operate as they did from the factory.

Does the Milltek Charger exhaust fit the Charger Daytona?

No. The Charger Daytona is the electric version and has no exhaust. SSXDOD111 to SSXDOD114 are engineered for the 2026 and later Dodge Charger Sixpack with the 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline six.
